Contemporary practice

Trusting your judgment

A contemporary three-rune practice for choosing a time for a personal project when asking for another opinion has replaced trying either option.

I will make a reversible scheduling choice from my criteria and learn from one attempt.

Why these three runes

Perthro

Uncertainty: allow a low-stakes choice to remain imperfect rather than asking someone else to remove every doubt.

Sowilo

Criteria: compare the two times with your actual availability and preferred working conditions.

Raido

Trial: put the better-fitting slot on your calendar and use it once before reconsidering.

How to work with it

  1. Write two available times for your personal project and your criteria. Briefly picture trying one, then name the wish for another person to remove all doubt.
  2. Draw Perthro, Sowilo, and Raido in order beside the options. Trace them while saying the intention once.
  3. If you begin asking someone again which time to choose, compare the two slots with your criteria, put the better fit on your calendar, and try that slot once.
  4. After the attempt, record what fit and what did not before changing the schedule. Keep the exercise to this reversible personal choice.

Your if-then plan: If I start asking someone again which project time I should choose, then I compare the two slots with my stated criteria, put the better-fitting slot on my calendar, and try it once before seeking more opinions.

The honest layer

For a low-stakes, reversible personal scheduling choice. It does not replace expertise or needed information in consequential decisions. Any effect specific to this rune combination is [unverified]. This is a modern symbolic practice, not an attested ancient formula. The drawing supports attention and action; it does not replace either.
