Rune for calm before an important event

Waiting for an important event can turn into a rehearsal of everything that might go wrong. This contemporary three-rune practice gives you a brief way to orient yourself and use the preparation you already made.

I will return to the first action I prepared, even if I still feel nervous.

Why these three runes

Isa

Pause: notice your feet and one stationary object before following another imagined mishap.

Laguz

Flexibility: allow nerves to be present without making a particular feeling a condition for taking part.

Raido

Action: follow the first step written on your preparation card.

How to work with it

  1. Before the event, write one concrete first action on a card. Briefly picture doing it, then name the habit of rehearsing mishaps that could pull your attention away.
  2. Draw Isa, Laguz, and Raido beside the action. Trace the row while saying the intention once, with your breathing comfortable and unforced.
  3. If you rehearse what could go wrong while waiting, feel your feet on the floor and name one stationary object you can see. Follow the first action on the card when it is time to begin.
  4. Afterward, record what you actually did and how you felt as separate observations. Leave room for a useful action to have happened while you were still nervous.

Your if-then plan: If I rehearse what could go wrong while waiting for the event to begin, then I feel my feet on the floor, name one stationary object I can see, and follow the first action written on my preparation card.

The honest layer

For ordinary pre-event attention and preparation. It is not treatment and makes no emotional or event-outcome promise. Any effect specific to this rune combination is [unverified]. This is a modern symbolic practice, not an attested ancient formula. The drawing supports attention and action; it does not replace either.
